An inquisitive map and history enthusiast
Steve is a lifelong map and history enthusiast with cartographic interests spanning the Age of Discovery, Colonial America, early New York City, the Great Lakes and Mississippi River regions, and the era of Westward Expansion, including Lewis and Clark. His interests also include maps of Spain, where he lived for five years.
He is President of the New York Map Society, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in London, and serves on the Executive Committee of the International Map Collectors’ Society (IMCoS). Steve is also a member of the Philip Lee Phillips Society at the Library of Congress and the Washington Map Society.
